Children's Ministry
Our Director of Preschool/Children's Ministry is
Mrs. Linda Parris. She is a retired teacher. She
brings to us her years of teaching experience and a
large abundance of love for our children.
Our Preschool/Children's Ministry
area is evolving every day into an exciting program.
Under Linda's watchful eye, our nursery is bursting
at the seams. Our Nursery Coordinator, oversees care of our youngest members each
Sunday in the nursery area. There is a nursery available at
EUMC while parents attend services and Sunday
School.
We have a wonderful, exciting
Sunday School program for toddlers through
elementary school. (Middle school age members
participate in our youth department.) Young children
are also able to participate in Sonshiners as a
portion of the weekly worship experience. Children ages 3 to second grade leave the
Celebration and Heritage worship services after the Children's Moment to
participate in age appropriate activities of their own!
The Crusaders class is made up of our third,
fourth and fifth graders. Besides Sunday School activities on
Sunday mornings, the Crusaders are involved in group
outings and service projects. Some of their past
adventures include trips to the Corn Maze and Pump
It Up. They have the coolest Sunday School classroom
in the entire church.
We host an annual Easter Egg Hunt
for the children of our community, often on the
Saturday before Easter Sunday.
Each summer, we offer Vacation
Bible School for our children and our community.
During this time, children gather in the evenings
for a weekly curriculum of songs, games, crafts,
music and learning of God's love.
