Bible Studies and Christian Enrichment Classes
We have several Bible Study and enrichment opportunities available for
spiritual and personal growth outside of the Sunday School hour. They meet
at different times throughout the week - not exclusively on Sunday. Some
classes are weekly and some are monthly.

Wednesday Word and Worship provides our congregation with a mid-week
gathering opportunity at 6:30 p.m. each Wednesday. Our pastor leads us in a
study series after we spend time singing praises to our Lord. Check with
the church office if you are interested in having a meal prior to WWW;
reservations are required for Wednesday night meals and there is a small
fee. The meal menu is served at 5:30 p.m.

The Morning Glory Bible Study is our longest running Bible study at EUMC.
This group meets at 10:00 a.m. the first Thursday morning of the month in
the Community Room. The sessions focus on topical studies of the Bible.
The Class 101 is one of our newer Christian enrichment classes. Based on a
class designed by Rick Warren of Saddleback Church, this class is open to
everyone, new and existing member alike. The Class 101 is designed to
provide the new member and the potential member with information specific to
EUMC and the Holston Conference of the United Methodist Church as well as
general information about the United Methodist Church. There is a slide
show of our church history. A meal is included in this class. There is no
cost to attend. The Class 101 is scheduled monthly and is a pre-requisite
for The Class 201 (currently in development).
Disciple 1, Becoming Disciples Through Bible Study, is a 34-week study that
takes you on a journey from Genesis to Revelation. Study focuses on 17
weeks in the Old Testament and 17 weeks in the New Testament, culminating in
a look at each believer's spiritual gifts. This class meets on Sunday
evenings. A new class begins in autumn. Because of the nature of this
class, new students cannot be added to the group after the first few
sessions.
